Pass It On: Personal Digital Archiving Day

Join us for Pass It On: Personal Digital Archiving Day on August 14th!

Personal treasures should be safeguarded so that future generations can share in the collective memories of loved ones–in this age of digital everything, what does this mean and where do you start? McArthur Public Library Archivist (and digital enthusiast) Renée DesRoberts will present information about how to think about and get started with preserving your digital memories; this informational presentation will include handouts for attendees to take home. There will be ample time after the presentation for discussion and individual questions. Advice on how to preserve and protect precious digital photos, documents, recordings and more will be presented at Personal Digital Archiving Day. And of course, any pressing questions about preserving your *traditional* personal treasures are always welcome.

Pass It On: Personal Digital Archiving Day will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 1 PM, in the McArthur Public Library Community Room.

The event is free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations are needed.

For the security of your collections, attendees are asked not to bring collection materials to the event.
