NEA Lonearrangers celebration!

I was on a panel today to share some of my experiences working as a “Lonearranger” (read: archives professional who works in a place or organization without any other archives professionals) in a public library setting. I was lucky enough to be joined by Dan McCormack, Archivist for the Town of Burlington, Mass. and Maria Bernier, Archivist at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.

We spoke to an enthusiastic & cozy group at the beautiful Congregational Library in Boston, right around the corner from the Common on Beacon Street. Interesting points of view, in a really relaxed atmosphere. Here are the Power Points from my talk: MAKING PEACE WITH THE CHAOS: 3 Years and Counting in a Public Library. Enjoy!

  1. No prob, ladies, I think we are all in the same boat, really. Sometimes its just nice to see we all have to deal with lots of different issues.

  2. Thanks for sharing your slides, Renee. It was great to meet you in person and get a sense of your work. How many hats do you wear??
